Rock Island, Illinois

Rock Island is named for a large island in the Mississippi River. This island is now known as Arsenal Island.
There is an east/west mainline of the Rock Island, now Iowa Interstate. In addition, the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy had a line through the town, which is now owned by BNSF.
